Of the many classic designs that graced homes in the 1940s and 50s, Turner prints are among the most recognizable. Made by Turner Manufacturing Company in Chicago, the company was best known for their innovative pastel images of birds and flowers. Turner Manufacturing Company sold their decor items in five-and-dime stores as easily affordable art for the average person.

This delicate-looking cream pitcher features a Bacchus mask on two sides surrounded by grape vines. Bacchus was the Roman god of wine, fertility, and agriculture. This set is in mint condition. The bracelet is 7/8″ wide and 7-3/4″ long. The clasp works perfectly. The necklace is 14″ inside measurement. Hard to measure as it is round. It lays very nicely on the neck. The bracelet weighs 100.15 grams & the necklace 118.86grams

Effie Calavaza (1928- )
Well known for her distinctive silver snake and turquoise nugget design, Effie Calavaza started working in the mid-1950s. Learning from and working with her husband, Juan Calavaza, Effie has passed her design along to her daughters Georgiana Yatsatti, Gloria Jean Garcia and Susie Calavaza. At first, Effie and her husband signed their work together with JUAN C.—ZUNI . Later, she and her daughters all signed their work with EFFIE C.—ZUNI
Effie used sleeping beauty turquoise and in further research it mentions that Effie used blue turquoise in the eyes of the snake & her daughters used Red Coral. In Zuni belief, the snake is a positive sign of rebirth and renewal.
The belt buckle measures 3-1/8″ x 2-1/8″. The bolo measures 2-1/2″ long by 1-3/4″ wide. Every piece is signed EFFIE C. ZUNI
This ring measures 1-1/4” long x 1” wide, all stones are in very good condition. The ring is size 7.5. It is not signed except with the sterling mark. The ring contains coral, turquoise, mop, opal, lapis & onyx.
